It is not recommended for those who can lift heavy weights (350 lbs plus) so keep that in mind if you think you might out-grow the system in a year. Current owners caution that you will have to be careful when squatting inside the cage that you don’t back up and hit your head on the pec deck. Compare Weider Home Gyms at Amazon In nearly all of the reviews on the Weider Club C650, consumers remarked that the gym was difficult to assemble; but then, most of these types of home gyms do take 2 to 4 hours to put together. As far as how well it performs, the bench isn’t ideal since it doesn’t decline fully, and the leg developer pad positioning makes it awkward to get your legs behind it. As for the positives, owners were quite satisfied with this home gym while admitting they did not have great expectations for a budget gym. Overall, the Weider Club C650 isn’t the best power rack on the market, but if you can get a great deal on it, it should last you a few years until you are ready to upgrade. Our TakeIf you are staring at the picture of the Club C650 thinking it looks like other Weider home gyms, give yourself a Gold Star. There is no difference. Weider changes the model number on a lot of their equipment to avoid racking up negative reviews – which is an odd marketing decision because home users seem generally happy with their gyms and give it positive reviews. The price is a bit confusing though. We’ve seen the Weider Club C650 Home Gym selling for less than $550 at Wal-mart without the weights, and for the same amount at Sam’s Club with a set of 250 lb. Olympic Hammertone (cast) weights included. So be sure of what you’re getting before you buy it.
