The Powertec Leverage System home gym is essentially a free weight machine but it has a safety advantage similar to that of a Smith cage. Our Take

At $949, this excellent home gym should put any notion of wanting a Smith machine right out of your head. Safety is a huge issue when you are lifting big and you know about what can go wrong if you get completely fatigued in the middle of a lift. With a Powertec leverage system, you don’t need a spotter and you’ll never need to worry about dropping a weighted bar on your neck. We highly recommend the Powertec Leverage System home gym and feel it will duplicate any club-quality workout you can load on it.
