The Buzz

The Powerline power cage features a convenient walk-in design with 2 heat tempered lift offs and 2 saber style safety rods. It features 18 adjustment levels and the 2x2 tubing frame is welded tough; it is more than enough to handle heavy weight. You’ll need a 7-foot barbell bar in order for the collars/plates to be outside the supports. The 1"-diameter weighted posts can store either Olympic or standard weight plates. The Powerline rack comes with a chin-up bar, so there is no need to buy the optional lat tower attachment since chins and pull-ups are far superior for building your upper back muscles.

The assembly instructions kind of suck but it is easy enough to figure out and only require a few standard tools. The rack comes well-packaged in three cartons.

While this isn’t a heavy-duty unit for bodybuilding, or for anyone needed to load 600 pounds, this system is solid enough to handle 400 pounds of weight if you need it. Unlike other budget gym equipment where “cheap” means cheaply made, this high quality rack is actually an exceptional value.
