The commercial quality of this Smith attachment, plus the Nautilus NT 1800 half cage, will fit the bill for any serious home gym user. Don’t forget you’ll need a good quality bench ($300+) for any safe power lifting.
Our Take
While the Nautilus NT 1810 Attachment adds quality to an already good rack system, without a built-in gunrack on the front there’s no way we would choose this Smith machine for a home gym. For our money, we recommend the Body Solid Series 7 Smith Machine System over the Nautilus NT 1810 Smith Attachment. It is complete with a 14 gunrack lift-offs, a FID bench, and selectorized lat attachment for about $2,400.
