The Buzz
The Hoist V6 Functional Trainer differs from a traditional home gym in that the pressing exercise follows a user-defined path, instead of a guided path, of motion. This allows for 3-dimensional training rather than a single plane of movement during presses. Sports trainers use personal pulley systems like these to condition athletes to improve their athletic performance through strength training. Golfers, tennis players, boxers, or anyone who want to improve their body appearance and muscle tone through smooth, rhythmic movements are advised to investigate functional trainers such as the Hoist V6.
Weider Home Gyms - Affordable Strength Training Systems
You won’t find any negative reviews of the Hoist V6 Personal Pulley Gym. The workmanship and quality components are first rate and come with long-term warranties. Users appreciate the incredible smooth feel of these pulleys which can be used one alone or in tandem. The long bar attaches to both towers allowing for squats, ab crunches, chest presses, and more. To give a new user a thorough understanding of the huge variety of exercises that can be performed on the V6 functional trainer, Hoist includes a detailed Exercise Chart, as well as a workout DVD, to instruct you on how to get the most out of your personal pulley gym.
Our Take
This is one of the best designs in an adjustable functional trainer you will find. If owning a quality piece of fitness equipment motivates you to work out more often, or if you don’t want to mess around with free weights and want an alternative, the Hoist V6 Personal Pulley Gym would be a good choice for you. All this quality comes at a price, however. If $2,900 is beyond your means, we suggest you look at the Body Solid Functional Training Center which offers the same range of exercises for around $1,000 less.
