The Buzz
Trainers like that the BodyCraft Xpress Pro includes the user-defined motion in the cable arms for a full Range of Motion, in addition to the traditional fixed planes of the press stations. As with all Body Craft products, the Xpress Pro home gym is super rugged and built to last a lifetime. Every single cable and part will be replaced or repaired for the original owner for as long as you own the system. With a warranty like that, you can be sure the company stands behind their workmanship.
Rated as a Best Buy from Consumer Digest, owners of the BodyCraft Xpress Pro home gym are strong advocates for this unit. They tout the versatility of the cable arms, which allow the user to perform over 50 exercises just on one station. For big men, the doubling 2:1 feature allows them to bench up to 400 pounds. You would have to purchase a Smith machine with plates, or a leverage gym, in order to get that kind of weight max on any other system. Home gym reviews do cite one tiny drawback to this perfect machine and that would be this: Measure your ceiling! This 83" tall unit will fit very snug in a room with a 7’ ceiling.
Our Take
On sale, the BodyCraft Xpress Pro will cost you around $2,199 but you should absolutely beg, borrow, or steal the money and get this gym over the lower priced Galena Pro, a two-station design with an unnecessary Pec Dec. The Xpress is more functional for the core lifts as well as the safety/speed of mimicking free weight training with the free motion cable system. We would also recommend this unit over the higher priced elite Hoist V system. We highly recommend the BodyCraft Xpress Pro home gym (with leg press) over any competitor in this price range.
